Technical Information

The IC694BEM340 Bus controller module belongs to the PACSystems RX3i family of products made by GE Fanuc. It provides the interface between PLCs and the I/O serial Bus. It receives and transmits control signals and data between devices through the I/O Bus. The IC694BEM340 Bus controller module provides an interface for a wide variety of discrete and analog field devices. It also provides the facilities to design complex systems with multiple CPUs and additional data monitoring facilities. It comes with a configurator software package that can be used to configure the system easily and effectively. This module supports hand-held monitors for extended configuration. It comes with an open architecture system.   

 

The IC694BEM340 Bus controller module is a standard rack-mounted module with LED indicators, HHM connectors, and a terminal assembly slot. The HHM connector is located on the faceplate of the module to connect a wide range of HHM devices for configuration and monitoring purposes. Compatible terminal assemblies offer easy and organized field wiring for the module. This Bus controller module handles all the data which is transferred within the bus between PLCs and field devices. It has onboard RAM to handle data that has been transferred. It also has the capability to automatically transfer data between memories. The IC694BEM340 Bus controller module performs the Bus scan by using a token and that scan is a complete rotation among the devices which are connected to the bus. During a bus scan, it performs the data retrieval process, broadcasts global data, updates outputs, receives fault messages, and sends the signals which are received from the CPUs.
