The GE Fanuc IC694ALG392 High-Density Analog Output Module is an 8-channel current/voltage analog output module designed for the GE RX3i PACSystems control system. This module provides 8 single-ended output channels that are capable of accepting either current loop outputs or voltage outputs. Selection between current or voltage outputs can be achieved via software configuration. The outputs can be configured for a 0 to 10 Volts DC (unipolar), -10 to +10 Volts DC (bipolar), 0 to 20 milliamps, or 4 to 20 milliamps output range. Each IC694ALG392 Module output is capable of converting 15 to 16 bits of binary data from the CPU to analog data for output devices. The IC694ALG392 Module refreshes/updates every output channel every 8 milliseconds. The operators can switch between the current mode and the voltage mode via easy and simplified software configuration. The IC694ALG392 Module reports open-wire faults and other fault conditions to the CPU in the current mode.
The IC694ALG392 Output Module must receive its 24 Volts DC operating power from an external user-supplied power source, which can be connected to the TB1 connector on the left side of the backplane or directly to the module’s terminal block. It supports 24 Volts DC user-supplied power, which supplies a 20 to 30 Volts DC voltage range. The IC694ALG392 Module has a maximum backplane current draw of 110 milliamps at 5 Volts DC and 315 milliamps of rated power consumption at 24 Volts DC. Each of the IC694ALG392 Module’s outputs is factory-calibrated and they do not require any additional field calibration. The IC694ALG392 Module can be installed in any I/O slot on the RX3i PLC rack and it can be configured with the Proficy Machine Edition configuration software. The IC694ALG392 Module has a front-panel “MODULE OK” LED and a “USER SUPPLY” LED which are powered by the 5 Volts DC backplane power bus.
