The Emerson/GE Fanuc STXPNS001 RSTi ProfiNet Slave Network Adapter acts as a connection device for an Emerson RSTi programmable logic controller or PLC system that allows it to interact with other field devices as a part of an industrial control system’s infrastructure. It was designed and manufactured with flexibility of insulation and scalability in mind. The Emerson/GE Fanuc STXPNS001 RSTi ProfiNet Slave Network Adapter only needs an external 24 Volts DC power supply to operate, and it is easily expandable because it can support up to 32 modules. The ProfiNet network is one of the most common protocols in industrial settings around the world, and this ProfiNet network adapter allows a variety of industrial devices to communicate more efficiently with as great a variety of other devices as possible.

 

The Emerson/GE Fanuc STXPNS001 RSTi ProfiNet Slave Network Adapter is small, lightweight and simple to install. It can be mounted independently in a panel or it can be inserted in any available slot in the RSTi PLC. The environmental protection rating of this device is important, and the Emerson/GE Fanuc STXPNS001 RSTi ProfiNet Slave Network Adapter is constructed with an open design which maximizes the flow of air through the adapter to keep the electronics cool, but which also means that this adapter has a very low environmental protection rating which makes it risky to use in high-humidity locations or in environments where it will come into frequent direct contact with water droplets. A protective enclosure with a forced ventilation system or a climate control system is essential for this adapter in work environments with extreme temperatures and high levels of humidity and moisture.
