Technical Information

The STXPBS532 module is an RSTi Profibus module with sixteen 24 Volts DC rated source negative logic inputs. It also has sixteen 24 Volts DC rated sink outputs, and it is expandable with 8 other I/O modules. GE Fanuc/Emerson Intelligent Platforms is the manufacturer of this part, and it belongs to the RSTi PACSystems product family. This device's input and output specifications include an off-state voltage of less than 5 Volts DC, an on-state voltage greater than 9 Volts DC, 5.4 Kiloohms of rated resistance, 0.5 Amps of rated current per point, and 8 Amps per module. The STXPBS532 RSTi Profibus module has a network adapter and it is used with a slave device with integrated inputs and outputs. It provides a distributed and compact industrial control solution because it is easy to upgrade, configure, and manage. This device features Ethernet-based RSTi I/O that provide high-speed communications that are enhanced so that the devices can handle large amounts of data.

 

The STXPBS532 RSTi Profibus module and other RSTi I/O modules are designed to unlock the full connectivity, connection, and collaboration potential of the control systems that they are part of. Other notable features of the RSTi module are advanced diagnostics, an RSTi network interface with support for up to 32 slice I/O modules (512 I/O points). It comes with either a low-density 4-point I/O setup or a high-density 16-point in a space 12 millimeters wide. Additionally, it comes with a unique module locking mechanism that helps to secure it in place next to other modules and on the DIN rail mounting base. The STXPBS532 RSTi Profibus module features a built-in slide and lock design that protects the module's connection to the module. This unit also has a removable terminal block that enhances the maintenance and installation processes. Additionally, this module features a push spring clamp terminal, and it does not need any special wiring tools when it is being connected.
