Technical Information

GE Fanuc/Emerson manufactures the STXPBS332 RSTi Profibus module with 24 Volts DC rated source outputs. It belongs to the RSTi PACSystems series, it has 32 output points, and it is expandable with an additional 8 modules. This module provides a compact and distributed industrial solution because it is easy to configure, easy to manage, and easily upgradeable. Among the STXPBS332 RSTi Profibus module's key features is Ethernet-based I/O with high-speed communications that are enhanced to handle the large quantity of data that various devices can generate. The RSTi I/O modules are intended to unlock the complete connectivity, collaboration, and continuity in control systems. Some of the output specifications of this RSTi Profibus module include 0.5 Amps of rated current per point and 8 Amps of rated current per module. It comes with a Profibus network adapter and it uses a slave device with incorporated inputs and outputs.

 

Other notable features of the STXPBS332 RSTi Profibus module include a tool-less spring clamp release wiring connection, connection test points, and spring clamp wire connections that support 14 AWG wire. It is also color-coded to help with the easy identification of the module. This unit comes with LED indicators that show the operating status of the module. It also features a protected module-to-module slide-lock mounting mechanism for safety purposes. The STXPBS332 RSTi Profibus module features a DIN-rail locking mechanism for mounting. It is recommended that the 24 Volts DC system power be drawn from an independent source of power rather than from the field bus power. This enables the users to switch off the field power without affecting the network interface. This device features a network interface that provides 5 Volts DC for the corresponding I/O modules, while each of the modules passes a voltage of 5 Volts DC to the next module.
