Manufactured by GE Fanuc, the STXPBS032 module is an RSTi Profibus module with 24 Volts DC rated sink logic inputs. It features 32 I/O points that are expandable with up to an additional 8 modules to provide a compact input distribution solution. The STXPBS032 module is characterized by a long operating life, high-speed performance, and flexibility. The RSTi Profibus module with 24 Volts DC sink inputs uses  internet-based RSTI, and it increases the continuity, connectivity, and collaboration in the control systems it is part of. It features high-speed communication that is enhanced to facilitate the massive amounts of data that other devices in the system generate. It can support Profibus/slave communication with integrated I/O, which is important in PLC, DCS, and PC-based automation systems because it enables the binary connections required for devices such as simple actuators, rotary encoders, and sensors that are important in manufacturing and discrete processing applications.

 

The GE Fanuc STXPBS032 RSTi Profibus module is only intended for industrial use. Additional features of this module include a maximum load current rating of 2 Amps at 24 Volts DC and 250 Volts AC, 0.8 Amps at 48 Volts DC, and 0.5 Amps at 110 Volts DC. The STXPBS032 RSTi Profibus module is considered to be a piece of open-type equipment that should be installed in an enclosure in an industrial environment with minimal pollution because of the lack of serviceable parts that it has. Damage to this module often means that the entire module must be replaced rather than just the damaged part, but the chances of damage are minimized by installing the module in the proper enclosure.
