Technical Information

The STXKITPBS001 starter kit is a Profibus RSTI starter kit that is manufactured by GE Fanuc/Emerson. It features a PNP positive logic module with a 24 Volts DC input module and a source output module type (the ST-2328). The current rating is 20 milliamps of output current. The STXKITPBS001 starter kit components include a compact I/O expansion block that is enclosed in plastic. It features an 8-input and 8-output I/O splitter box built to provide additional notes with a single input and numerous output signals. The number of output ports is meant to increase the signals emitted from the splitter. Additional features include but are not limited to an analog input resolution of 12 bits per current and current ranges between 4 and 20 milliamps within an analog output current range of 0 to 20 milliamps.

 

The STXKITPBS001 starter kit lacks output filtering. However, the electrical circuit type is rated for 20 milliseconds for the I/O for the whole module or 5 milliseconds for the I/O per channel. The response time status for the output changes after every 1 millisecond at the maximum leakage current when the output current is switched off at 5 µA, and this implies the amount of current loss that happens due to resistance when the current that moves from one terminal to the other is miniscule. There is no insulation between each channel but there is between the channel and bus and it is rated 500 Volts RMS AC insulation, while the consumption rating of the current at 5 Volts DC is rated at 8 milliamps and it is 217 milliamps at 24 Volts DC. The STXKITPBS001 starter kit is equipped with a local signaling LED indicator to show the status of the power supply, inputs, and outputs.
