Technical Information

The STXKITCAN001 kit is a product manufactured by GE Fanuc as an RSTi starter kit. This device features a 24 Volts DC rated source output and input current ratings of over 20 milliamps. It is meant to work with multiple modules, which simplifies the installation and wiring processes. Because the STXKITCAN001 RSTi starter kit supports the smart module ID feature, it needs to have a Bus address. It enhances the connections of multiple modules to support the RSTi network at a voltage of 120 Volts AC. Every module to the right of the Bus in the system needs to be based on the ST-7x4 power supply. An additional feature of this module includes but is not limited to a spring clamp terminal block for serial connections, and there is a single system indicator that is green/red to indicate the bus status.

 

The internal power consumption of the STXKITCAN001 RSTi starter kit is 10 Amps of current at 5 Volts DC voltage. Its physical dimensions are 99 millimeters by 12 millimeters by 70 millimeters. It boosts the 5 Volts DC voltage at the backplane of the bus module whenever the power requirement exceeds the required threshold. This kit is closely configured with I/O modules with intelligent Proficy software on the GE intelligent platform and it can run an RSTi file to configure its module parameters automatically. This file is stored for later use, and when it is downloaded into the controller, it is automatically loaded to the STXKITCAN001 starter kit control module with a single point of connection. Additionally, the load current per point is significantly low at only 10 Amps per point.
