RSTi DeviceNet with 16 24VDC source (Negative Logic) input and 8 relay output built-in, expandable to 10 additional modules.

Technical Information

The STXDNS924 module is a GE Fanuc-manufactured DeviceNet module with 16 source inputs and 8 relay outputs rated at 24 Volts DC. Further expansion to up to 10 additional modules is possible with the STXDNS924 DeviceNet module. The DeviceNet network is a low-level network that offers connections between industrial devices (actuators, controllers, and sensors) over the same local network. It transports control information to and from different low-level devices. The DeviceNet network follows the common industry protocols and it supports both master-slave and peer to peer communication. The slave devices can be connected to a single bus using DeviceNet.

The STXDNS924 module has an open enclosure with a connection port and LED indicators on the front panel. The LED indicators are the “Field Power,” “MOD,” “NET,” and “I/O” LEDs. The “Field Power” indicator starts blinking when power is supplied to the network module. The “NET” LED illuminates when a network activation process is in progress. The node address in the module can be changed by using a dial that is located above the DIN Rail on the bottom of the module. Different baud rates are supported by the network module. The setting of the baud rate is changeable. The DeviceNet module uses a dedicated cable with a 5-pin connector. Data transfer is done with different communication speeds of 125, 250, and 500 Kbps. The STXDNS924 offers support for 2016 digital I/O points and for 126 analog I/O points. Different operating modes supported by the DeviceNet module are the COS, Polling, Cycling, and Bit strobe. The field supply current of the module is 10 Amps and the FnBus supply current is 1.2 Amps with 5 Volts DC voltage.
