RSTi DeviceNet with 16 24VDC sink (Positive Logic) input and 8 isolated relay output built-in, expandable to 10 additional modules.

Technical Information

The STXDNS825 adapter module is a DeviceNet adapter manufactured by GE Fanuc. It comes with integrated I/Os that are 16 sink inputs and 8 relay outputs that are 24 Volts DC isolated relay outputs. It has an open enclosure and it should be installed inside an enclosure that is rated for a Pollution Degree 2 industrial environment. There are 4 different LED indicators on the front that are the “MOD,” “NET,” “I/O,” and “Field Power” LEDs. A rotary dial for switching node addresses is also found on the front panel. The rotary dial can switch with x10 and x1 addresses. The STXDNS825 adapter module has a connection test point that can be used to manually test the functionality of the module. A simple push spring clamp terminal is used for the connections with a 14 AWG gauge wire. The DeviceNet module can be mounted using a DIN Rail that is located on the bottom of the unit.

The STXDNS825 adapter module dissipates a total of 30 milliamps of current under normal working conditions with 24 Volts DC voltage. There are different operating modes available on the DeviceNet module that include the Bit Strobe, Polling, cOS, and Cycling modes. Each of these modes has their own functionality. The module supports up to 64 additional nodes. The maximum digital I/O count is 2016 points and the maximum analog I/O count is 216 channels. It supports a maximum of 252 bytes of data at a time. The distributed nature of the RSTi module helps to reduce the disassembly time which in turn reduces the commissioning of the machine. The STXDNS825 adapter module can be configured by using the Proficy Machine Edition software running on the Microsoft Windows operating system.
