RSTi DeviceNet with 16 24VDC sink (Positive Logic) input and 16 24VDC source output built-in, expandable to 10 additional modules.
The GE Fanuc STXDNS432 interface module is a network interface module for the GE Intelligent Platforms devices. It is a positive logic I/O module with 16 positive logic inputs and 16 positive logic output points. It operates with an input voltage source rated at 24 Volts DC. The DeviceNet protocol is an industrial network protocol that is used with the application layer. The main function of the DeviceNet protocol is to relay the information between different connected devices at a high speed. The DeviceNet protocol transfers information in bytes. The STXDNS432 interface module runs in the Bit Strobe, Polling, Cyclic, and COS modes. A rotary switch is present on the front panel that is used to switch between different node addresses. The module uses a dedicated pin cable for DeviceNet with support for different data speeds. The module can support up to 32 additional modules. It can support up to 2016 digital I/O points and 126 analog I/O points. For regular operation, the module dissipates a total of 30 milliamps of current at 24 Volts DC.
The GE Fanuc STXDNS432 positive logic and network interface module is easy to install and mounting can be done by using a DIN Rail on the left side of the RSTi I/O slot. During the installation process, all proper grounding measures should be applied to the module for safety. The environmental temperature range should be between -20 and 50 degrees Celsius. The module has sensitive components and it should be protected from EMC noise. The STXDNS432 interface module runs with a maximum current rating of 10 Amps. The power LED indicator on the front illuminates when power is supplied to the module. The “NET” LED indicates the data transmission to and from this DeviceNet module.
