Technical Information

The GE Fanuc STXDNS232 output module is a negative logic output with 32 output points. It is a DeviceNet network interface module. It has built-in outputs and it also supports up to 10 expansion modules. DeviceNet is a network protocol used in industrial automation systems for data exchange between different control devices. It follows the common industry protocols and it offers a useful application layer to meet different profile needs. The STXDNS232 output module is an open enclosure module with a connector and ports on the front panel. LED status indicators are present on the front that illuminate in green when the outputs are in normal working condition. They blink when the module is in the boot mode and when it is transferring data. The module is powered with a 24 Volts DC field power supply. The maximum current rating is 10 Amps. The network module supports different baud rates that are auto configured as needed by different applications. 

 

The GE Fanuc STXDNS232 negative logic output module has a compact form factor and it is easy to move across the factory floor. It weighs only 155 grams. The STXDNS232 output module uses a dedicated DeviceNet cable that can be 100 to 500 meters in length. The cable comes with a 5-pin connector. It can transfer data with different speeds of 125, 250, or 500 Kbps over the pin cable. A maximum of 64 nodes is supported by the module at a time. The node address selector is present on the front of the module and it uses a rotary dial to change the node address. The RSTi STXDNS232 output module is part of the GE intelligent platform product line from GE Fanuc. It is highly versatile and robust and it can be easily integrated with the PACSystems family of devices.
