RSTi DeviceNet with built-in 24VDC sink (Positive Logic) input, 32 points, expandable to 10 additional modules.

Technical Information

The STXDNS032 DeviceNet Network Adapter Module is a 32-point DC input module manufactured by GE Fanuc. It is the first module in the GE RSTi system. This module supports auto baud selection with 3 communication speeds that are 125, 250, and 500 kilobytes per second. The STXDNS032 DeviceNet Network Adapter Module uses a variety of network protocols such as the poll, bit-strobe, cyclic, and COS protocols when it is communicating with a master device as a slave device. It requires a 24 Volts DC rated power supply with 11 to 28.8 Volts DC of supply voltage range, 1.2 amps of output current limits, and reverse polarity protection. The power dissipation rating of the module is 40 milliamps at 24 Volts DC.

The STXDNS032 DeviceNet Network Adapter Module comes with a 5-pin open male connector as the interface connector of the module and 2 rotary switches for configurations. It provides internal logic to I/O driver isolation and it acts as the link between field devices and field busses via I/O modules. It reduces wiring costs by eliminating costly parallel wiring. The I/O station can be easily expanded with its flexible and modular structure. The STXDNS032 DeviceNet Network Adapter Module handles up to 64 nodes, including the master node. Its removable terminal assembly consists of spring clamp terminals that can be used to connect sensors and actuators to the RSTi module. This module can be easily installed on the DIN rail by pressing down lightly until it clicks and locks into place. This allows the users to replace the module without disconnecting or interfering with all the wiring.
