Technical Information

The STXCAN001 CANopen Network Adapter belongs to PACSystems RSTi Network Adapter Modules series made by GE Fanuc. It forms a link between the I/O devices and field bus and field devices. It can handle up to 32 I/O devices at a time. It must be installed to the left of the RSTi modules in an I/O station. It comes with a removable terminal assembly that has 8 terminals. The STXCAN001 CANopen Network Adapter has 4 indicator LEDs that are the “CAN-RUN,” “CAN-ERR,” “Bus,” and “Field Power” LEDs. The general specifications of the module include 24 Volts DC of supply voltage, 11 to 28.8 Volts DC of supply voltage range, 100 milliamps of rated power dissipation at 24 Volts DC, and 1.5 Amps of current for I/O modules at 5 Volts DC.    

 

The STXCAN001 CANopen Network Adapter Module has 99 nodes. The maximum input size is 32 words and the maximum output size is also 32 words. It has 10 kilobits per second to 1 megabit per second of supported communication rates. It provides network to logic side isolation and logic to field power isolation. The weight of the module is 155 grams and the module dimensions are 45 x 99 x 70 millimeters. The STXCAN001 CANopen Network Adapter Module has 8 transmit and receive PDOs. It has 1 standard SDO. It is advised to use cables, termination resistors, and connectors that meet the requirements defined in the ISO 11898 standards. The operating temperature of the module is -20 to 55 degrees Celsius. Make sure to set the baud rate of the module before starting adapter operations. This module is cUL listed industrial control equipment that also comes with a CE certification to show that it meets all the relevant industrial standards.
