Technical Information

The GE Fanuc part number STXACC004 is the part number for an RSTi endplate that is sold as a separate accessory and usually included in a termination kit with the catalog number EP-8301 that is a kit for new RSTI-EP fieldbus network adapters. The GE Fanuc STXACC004 RSTi endplate, as suggested by its name, is a plate made of dielectric material that serves as an isolator and protection cover for the last module installed in a sequence that is located at the end part of an RSTI-EP station. It works in conjunction with the end brackets and it mounts on a DIN rail. It should be protected from direct contact with metals or other electricity-conducting materials which may cause a short circuit in the module and damage the endplate. Even though new modules include this specific endplate part when they come from the factory, buying the STXACC004 endplate as an additional accessory allows the users to replace damaged or lost endplates easily if needed.

 

The dimensions of the GE Fanuc STXACC004 RSTi endplate are as follows: it has a height of 120.0 millimeters (4.72 inches), a width of 3.5 millimeters (0.14 inches) and depth of 76.0 millimeters (2.99 inches). The GE Fanuc STXACC004 RSTi endplate fits perfectly with any final module in an RSTI-EP station, and it produces an audible click sound when it is correctly installed and securely in place. Using the endplate in the system is mandatory in order to avoid accidental contact with current-carrying parts, which may produce system malfunctions, personal injuries, and other safety related hazards which could endanger the users and installations around the GE Fanuc RSTi Automation system in an industrial setting.
