Technical Information

The GE/Beijer Electronics ST-7641 FnIO S-Series Power Module is a field distributor module which operates in 1 channel by transforming the incoming voltage received in its power supply terminals into the necessary voltages for the FnIO accessories connected to it. The field power needed for this device can include 1 of several power options: 5 Volts DC, 24 Volts DC, 48 Volts DC, 110 Volts AC, or 220 Volts AC. The GE/Beijer Electronics ST-7641 FnIO S-Series Power Module is able to transform the voltage from its arbitrary power source into any of the remaining power options, providing the system with great flexibility when it comes to power source selection. The operating temperature for the device spans between -20 and +60 degrees Celsius (-4 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit). For higher temperatures, the manufacturer strongly recommends the use of forced ventilation systems or climate control systems such as enclosure air conditioning to prevent overheating.

 

The GE/Beijer Electronics ST-7641 FnIO S-Series Power Module is small and lightweight, with physical dimensions of 12 millimeters x 99 millimeters x 70 millimeters (4.7 inches x 38.9 inches x 27.5 inches) and a weight of 70 grams. A maximum wiring size of 2 square millimeters (AWG #14) can be used on the module’s terminal strips. The GE/Beijer Electronics ST-7641 FnIO S-Series Power Module has a total power dissipation rating of 18 milliamps at 5 Volts DC, and because of its open type construction style, it only has a low IP 20 protection rating. The environmental protection against direct contact with water, high humidity, or extreme temperature variations should be provided by the users by placing the system inside a durable protective enclosure according to manufacturer recommendations.
