Technical Information

The GE Fanuc module that is known as the ST-7588 module is used with the RSTi systems and it complies with the CE standards. This distribution module is made for both 0 Volts DC and 24 Volts DC voltage levels and it has 4 points for each voltage range. The module uses a bus ID and it requires a bus address. The ST-7588 distribution module can be wired easily and its installation process requires very little time. Additionally, the ST-7588 module has 10 Amps of field power contact current and it features a single LED indicator. The LED indicator glows green and red for different module status updates. The ST-7588 module features a maximum of 18 milliamps of current at 5 Volts DC power dissipation and 65 grams (0.14 pounds) of weight. The dimensions of the module are compact and it requires minimal mounting space on the panel.

 

Besides distribution modules, the RSTi systems are built from components like expansion modules, power modules, motion modules, discrete inputs and outputs, and analog inputs and outputs. Even though these systems are complex, the use of modules and parts in them is designed to be simple and the users do not need to go through extensive training to use it. Besides exceptional hardware components, the manufacturer offers a dedicated software solution and configuration tools that allow the users to manipulate the ST-7588 module and other RSTi components with operational parameters and settings. The cable wiring is done with standard AWG 14 gauge cable. For the network interface, the RSTi system uses the PROFINET, Profibus, Modbus, and DeviceNet networks.
