Technical Information

The ST-7188 module is a GE Fanuc component that is made for the RSTi systems. The PACSystems RSTi system offers advanced technological improvements in regard to machine design and functionality and it is a reliable machine control system that controls complex industrial application processes. The ST-7188 module is part of a system that offers the users a long operating life, easy maintenance and configuration processes, software and hardware upgrades, an improved integration process, parts with small dimensions, a robust protective housing, safety features, and reliability. The ST-7188 module is a distribution module for field devices and it has 4 available I/O points. This system module has a dual field power voltage rating of 24 Volts DC and 0 Volts DC. The maximum field power contacts current rating of the module is 10 Amps.

 

The ST-7188 module dissipates power through the expansion power distributor and it does not come with any LED status indicators while some of the other modules from the series are built with green and red LED indicators for giving the users updates about the module’s status. These modules can be of the ID type or the non-ID type. This particular module does not have a bus ID type support and it does not reserve an address on the bus. The module features simplified wiring and its installation does not require any special tools. The ST-7188 module connects to the field power 24 Volts DC bus. The ST-7188 module also uses the powerful configuration tools from the RSTi system for the configuration of its parameters and for selecting the right I/O module.
