Technical Information

The catalog number ST-7008 is the catalog number for a shield termination module that is used in various industries. This system module is produced by GE Fanuc and it is a non-ID type of component. This means that the ST-7008 module does not require a module address and it cannot be modified through hardware configuration. The ST-7008 shield termination module comes without LED indicators and it is made to be integrated into the PACSystems RSTi setup. It should be noted that the ST-7008 module can be used for the reduction of noise impact on the RSTi system and it is compatible with a variety of industrial analog and motion modules.

 

The ST-7008 module has 8 available I/O points and a field power contact current rating of 10 Amps. The module positioned on the right side of the ST-7008 shield termination module will share a field bus power through the module. The field bus power can be 24 Volts DC or 110 Volts AC. Besides these modules, there are other components of the system like network interface units, digital outputs, discrete inputs, analog inputs, serial interface modules, and motion modules. The ST-7008 module weighs only 65 grams (0.14 pounds) and it requires wire that is type AWG 14 wire. The 8-channel shield module has Fn-Bus contacts and field power contacts, along with metal housing that meets industrial standards. The ST-7008 module is part of a high-performance system that does not require much time for installation. The users of the system will also reduce costs due to the components in the system that can be easily upgraded.
