Technical Information

The GE Fanuc ST-5114 module is a 4-channel high-speed counter module. It is rated for 24 Volts DC and it is a sink input I/O module. The 4 input channels on the module have an input voltage rating of 24 Volts DC and input current rating of 6.1 milliamps. The output voltage rating of the channels is 24 Volts DC and the output current rating is 0.5 Amps per channel. The module channels support output short-circuit protection. The size of the counters on the module is 32 bits per channel. The maximum off-status voltage rating for the channels is 1.8 Volts DC and the maximum off-status current rating is 0.15 milliamps. The minimum on-status voltage rating for the channels is 12 Volts DC and the minimum on-status current rating is 2.9 milliamps.

 

The maximum input frequency supported by the ST-5114 counter module is 25 kilohertz for the channels configured as Encoder x 4 channels. For the rest of the I/O channel counter configurations, the maximum input frequency is 50 kilohertz. The ST-5114 counter module has indicators for the channels which include one green/red LED for the FnBus status and 4 green terminal input LEDs. The input duty range for the channels on the ST-5114 counter module is 20 to 80%. The power dissipation for the ST-5114 counter module is 160 milliamps at 5 Volts DC. The power requirements for the module are 24 Volts with an 18 to 28.8 Volts DC input range and 20 milliamps of current consumption. The weight and dimensions of the module are 70 grams and 12 x 99 x 70 millimeters, respectively.
