Technical Information

The GE Fanuc ST-5112 module is a dual-channel high speed counter module. The ST-5112 module is a 24 Volts DC rated sink input module. The dimensions of the ST-5112 module are 12 x 99 x 70 millimeters. The approximate weight of the ST-5112 module is 70 grams. The field power requirements of the ST-5112 counter module are 20 milliamps and 24 Volts DC. The supported input voltage range is 18 to 28.8 Volts DC. The input voltage and current ratings for the module channels are 24 Volts DC and 6.1 milliamps, respectively. The output voltage and current ratings for the module channels are 24 Volts DC and 0.5 Amps per channel, respectively, with short circuit protection. The counter size on the ST-5112 module is 32 bits. The common type is the dual common type. The channel type is the 2-channel source type.

 

The maximum off-state voltage and current ratings for the GE Fanuc ST-5112 module are 7 Volts DC and 1.0 milliamp, respectively, and the minimum on-stat voltage and current ratings are 12 Volts DC and 2.9 milliamps, respectively. The maximum input frequency is 100 kilohertz except for the “encoder x 4” counting mode setting which supports a maximum of 50 kilohertz of input frequency. The input filter selections and gate function mode selections are not available on the ST-5112 counter module. The input duty range is 20 to 80%. The minimum recommended operating temperature is -4 degrees Fahrenheit and the maximum recommended operating temperature is 131 degrees Fahrenheit. The non-operating temperature range is from -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. The non-condensing relative humidity level around the ST-5112 counter module should be between 5 and 90%. The maximum recommended operating altitude for the ST-5112 counter module is 2000 meters above sea level.
