Technical Information

The GE Fanuc ST-5111 module is a single-channel high-speed counter module that is rated for 24 Volts input voltage. The indicators on the module include 1 green and red FnBus status LED, 2 green up/down status LEDs, 3 green terminal input LEDs and 1 green terminal output LED.  The input voltage and current ratings for the ST-5111 module are 24 Volts DC and 6.1 milliamps, respectively. The power requirement of the module is 20 milliamps at 24 Volts DC. The input power voltage range is 18 to 28.8 Volts DC. GE recommends a 14 AWG maximum I/O cable size for terminations on the module. The dimensions of the ST-5111 module are 12 x 99 x 70 millimeters and the module weight is 70 grams. The maximum recommended altitude for module installation is 2000 meters.

 

The environmental specifications for the ST-5111 module include a -40 to 85 degrees Celsius storage temperature range and a -20 to 55 degrees Celsius operating temperature range. The operating and non-operating shock ratings for the ST-5111 module are 30 G and 50 G, respectively. The vibration rating for the module is 2 G at 10 to 500 Hertz. The relative humidity around the module should be between 5 and 95%. The peak input frequency supported by the module is 1.5 Megahertz. The peak off-state power ratings are 1.8 Volts DC and 0.15 milliamps and the minimum on-state ratings are 12 Volts DC and 2.9 milliamps. The supported input duty range is 10 to 90%. The input filter time is configurable between 1 microsecond and 10 milliseconds. The supported counting modes include the single and dual pulse mode, encoder x 1 to encoder x 4 modes, and the PWM output mode.
