Technical Information

The GE Fanuc ST-4114 analog output module is a 12-bit, 4-channel analog output module from the GE RSTi distributed I/O system. The GE RSTi distributed I/O system is a family of high-performance and modular I/O system components that offers cost-effective PROFIBUS-based I/O solutions to a wide range of industrial applications. The ST-4114 analog output module, like every RSTi I/O module, is addressed, programmed, and configured by using the GE Windows-based Proficy ME programming software, which provides an easy-to-use configuration environment for programming all of the module’s parameters. The ST-4114 analog output module is installed on a DIN rail by using the slide and lock mechanism that allows for easy installation on the DIN rail.

 

The ST-4114 analog output module has 4 individually isolated single-ended output circuits with 0 to 20 milliamps of output current range and a resolution of 12 bits (4.88 milliamps per Bit). Each output channel has its own common and it does not require extra field calibration. Each output circuit also has a maximum load resistance of 500 Ohms and transmits output data in the 16-bit (2’s compliment) format. The ST-4114 analog output module has a maximum conversion time of 4 milliseconds (all channels) and a module error range of +/-0.3% full scale at 60 degree Celsius. The ST-4114 analog output module requires a user-supplied 24 Volts DC power supply for operation. It has an operating output voltage range of 18 to 28.8 Volts DC and a total current rating of 60 milliamps at 24 Volts DC. The ST-4114 analog output module has photo-coupler isolation between the I/O and control logic, and it uses the 2.0 millimeters square wire for module wiring.
