Technical Information

The GE Fanuc ST-3804 module is an analog input module from the PACSystems RSTi series and the GE Intelligent Platforms series. It has 4 input channels and a data format with 16 bits integer. The module has a system power dissipation rating of 120 milliamps at 5.0 Volts DC.  The GE Fanuc ST-3804 module has 2 sensor types including thermocouple input sensors (e.g. type B/C/D/E/J/K/L/N/S/T/R/U) and mV input sensors (1uV/bit, 2uV/bit and 10uV/bit). The analog input module has international certifications such as the CE certificate, UL/ cUL listed, UL listed, DNV certificate No. A-10666, RoHS (EU, China), EN 61000-6-4; Industrial Emissions, and EN 61000-6-2; Industrial Immunity certifications. The ST-3804 analog input module has an operating temperature range of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius and a non-operating temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. It has a relative humidity range from 5% to 90%, non-condensing, and a maximum operating altitude of 2000 meters.

 

To avoid explosions, personal injury, or damage to the equipment, it is important to follow the ST-3804 module installation directions. These include ensuring that the power is not applied to the system when assembling the module and wire or this may result in damage to the  field devices. Always disconnect the system power before wiring or assembling the module. Second, when the system is running, avoid touching any of the I/O modules or terminal blocks because this may result in a system malfunction or an electric shock. Third, only expert electrical engineers should do the wiring on the GE Fanuc ST-3804 module, and any metal objects that are not part of the system should be kept away because they can cause system malfunction, electric shock, or fire.
