GE ST3704 RSTi analog input module 4 Channels, RTD Connector Type GE-IP

Technical Information

The GE Fanuc ST-3704 analog RTD module is a 4-channel Resistance-Temperature Detector (RTD) module that is designed for the PACSystems RSTi I/O system. The ST-3704 features 4 isolated input circuits that are capable of receiving RTD and resistance-based signals from field devices. This module also features built-in diagnostics and software-based configuration options. Using the GE Proficy Machine Edition (ME) software, operators can easily integrate the ST-3704 analog RTD module or any other RSTi I/O module into the GE Intelligent Platforms system and they can also assign the module’s address and configure the operation parameters. The ST-3704 analog RTD module supports DIN rail mounting, and with its slide and lock design, the operators can install the module very easily. The ST-3704 analog RTD module has 4 individually-numbered input status LEDs and a single LED for the general module status.

The ST-3704 analog RTD module’s power requirement comes from the system power (a 24 Volts DC power supply), and it draws 100 milliamps of current (at 5.0 Volts DC) from the backplane. The ST-3704 analog RTD module has standard photo-couple isolation from I/O to Logic, and unlike other analog input modules in its series, it requires the Hirose connector known as the HIF3BA-20D-2.54C connector for module wiring. The ST-3704 analog RTD module features 4 individually-isolated input channels with +/-0.1 degree Celsius per 10 milliOhms of resolution and a maximum accuracy rating of +/-0.1% of the full scale at 25 degrees Celsius. Each input point has an excitation current rating of about 1 milliamp and a conversion time of about 30 milliseconds per channel. The ST-3704 analog RTD module supports a variety of resistance and RTD input types such as the 100 milliOhms/bit, 10 milliOhms/bit, 20 milliOhms/bit, 50 milliOhms/bit, PT100, PT200, PT500, PT1000, PT50, JPT100, JPT200, JPT500, JPT1000, JPT50, NI100, NI200, NI500, NI000, NI120, and NI1000LG types.
