Technical Information

The GE Fanuc ST-3702 2-channel RTD module is an analog input module designed for the RSTi distributed I/O system. This 2-channel RTD module provides non-isolated single-ended inputs for the measurement of temperature-based signals. The ST-3702 RTD module can be configured with the Proficy Machine Edition configuration software, which is Windows-based programming software that provides a programming environment for the integration of the RSTi I/O modules into the GE Intelligent Platform for programming and configuration. The ST-3702 RTD module has 2 input status LEDs and 1 module status LED on the front panel. It also has a slide and lock mechanism for easy mounting on a DIN rail. The ST-3702 RTD module comes with a removable type of terminal block that allows for easy installation. Each terminal block has “push and release” spring clamp terminals that provide simplified module wiring.

 

The power for operation is supplied by the system’s 24 Volts DC power supply. The ST-3702 RTD module draws 70 milliamps of maximum backplane power at 5 Volts DC, and it has photo-coupler type isolation between the I/O and Logic. The ST-3702 RTD module comes with 2 non-isolated, single-ended input channels that do not require additional field calibration. Each input channel has a 0.1 degree Celsius dissolution rating and a maximum error range of +/-0.3% full scale at 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. The ST-3702 RTD module is designed to accommodate a wide range of sensor types such as the  PT-50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, JPT-100, 200, 500, 1000, NI-100, 200, 500, 1000, 120, and CU10 with resistances of 100 Milliohms/Bit, 10 Milliohms/Bit, and 20 Milliohms/Bit. The ST-3702 RTD module has a maximum conversion duration of 200 milliseconds for all channels, and it supports the 16 bits (2’s compliment) data format.
