Technical Information

The GE Fanuc ST-3624 analog input module is a 4-channel analog input module designed for the RSTi distributed I/O. The ST-3624 analog input module provides 4 single-ended inputs that can receive 0 to 5 Volts DC signals from field devices such as pushbuttons, limit switches, relays, and motor starters. The ST-3624 analog input module,  like every RSTi I/O module, can be easily integrated into the GE Intelligent Automation platform by using the Proficy Machine Edition software. This software provides the users with an intuitive programming environment where the users can easily select an I/O module, assign an address to the I/O module, and configure the parameters. The ST-3624 analog input module has 4 front-panel green/red LED indicators that show individual input states, and 1 green/red LED indicator that shows the Bus status. Also on the front panel is a removable terminal block and simple push spring clamp terminals for easy field wiring. The ST-3624 analog input module comes with a slide and lock design that allows for easy mounting on a DIN rail.

 

The GE Fanuc ST-3624 analog input module requires 24 Volts DC of system power for operation, and it draws 170 milliamps of maximum backplane current at 5 Volts DC. It features Photocoupler isolation between the I/O and logic. The ST-3624 analog input module has 4 single-ended input circuits. Each input channel is not isolated from the next one, and there is no built-in diagnostic feature for this module. Each input circuit has an operating voltage range of 0 to 5 Volts DC and an input resolution of 12 Bits (1.22 millivolts per Bit). The ST-3624 analog input module supports the 16 bits (2’s compliment) data format and a maximum signal conversion time of 4.0 milliseconds for all channels.
