Technical Information

The GE Fanuc ST-3544 4-channel analog input module is an analog input module from the PACSystems RSTI distributed system. This module belongs to the GE Intelligent Platforms RSTi family and it is designed to provide an industrial automation platform that delivers a long operating life, high levels of performance, and easy-to-manage I/O solutions. The ST-3544 analog input module provides 4 non-isolated single-ended inputs that are capable of receiving -10 to +10 Volts DC signals. It is configured by using the GE Proficy Machine Edition software which provides an easy to use programming environment for parameter configuration, slot addressing, and application programming. The ST-3544 analog input module has a color-coded identification tab the front panel for easy module identification, and it also has 4 individually-numbered LEDs that show the input statuses and 1 red/green RSTi bus status LED. The ST-3544 analog input module supports DIN rail mounting, and the “slide and lock” design on the module allows for easy mounting on a DIN rail.

 

The ST-3544 analog input module has 4 single-ended input channels that are not isolated from each other. Each input circuit has a maximum operating voltage range of -10 to 10 Volts DC and the 16 bits (2’s compliment) data format. Power for operation is supplied by the system and this module draws 170 milliamps of maximum backplane current at 5 Volts DC. The ST-3544 analog input module does not come with built-in module diagnostics and it requires no additional field calibration before use. The ST-3544 analog input module has a removable terminal block for easy and simplified installation. Each pin point consists of a simple push and release spring clamp terminal that allows for wiring with special tools. The ST-3544 analog input module has an approximate weight of 70 grams.
