Technical Information

The GE Fanuc ST-3524 module is an analog input module. The ST-3524 input module is a 4-channel single-ended input module. The inputs are rated for -10 to 10 Volts DC. The data format is the 12-bit integer data. The dimensions of the ST-3524 input module are 12 x 99 x 70 millimeters and the module weight is 70 grams. Pin 0 on the module corresponds to input channel 0. Pin 1 on the module corresponds to input channel 1. Pin 2 on the module corresponds to input channel 2. Pin 3 on the module corresponds to input channel 3. Pin 4 on the ST-3524 input module corresponds to input channel common (0 Volts). Pin 5 on the module corresponds to THE input channel common (0 Volts). Pin 6 on the module corresponds to the chassis ground/shield, and so does pin 7.

 

Five LED indicators are provided on the module. One indicator shows the module status and 4 indicators display the status of each of the input channels. The ST-3524 input module is compatible with the PACSystems RSTi family of ProfiNet based granular I/O. The ST-3524 module is sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Therefore, precautions such as the use of grounded wrist straps, working in static-free workspaces, avoiding touching conductive components, and the use of static-free containers for storing the module should be followed. To prevent injury and equipment damage, the ST-3524 input module should only be inserted or removed when the electrical power to the system is shut off. The maximum ambient temperature in the area where the module is installed should be kept below 50 degrees Celsius.
