Technical Information

The ST-3428 module is an 8-channel RSTi analog input module, and it operates on an input voltage of 0 to 10 Volts DC and it has an input resolution of 12 bits. This module is manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms/GE Fanuc. This series comprises a micro modular remote I/O system with a wide range of digital, analog, and special modules. With selected node/bus modules, the system supports an easy combination with other devices in a larger system. It comes with an IP 20 enclosure rating, and it supports installation on a DIN rail measuring 35 millimeters in length. Additionally, there is stable communication between the node's modules through the contact system that has a unique sliding mechanism. The standard module has a width of about 12 millimeters, and when the 16-channel I/O modules are used with it, the complete node comprises up to 64 inputs and outputs with a width of 90 millimeters.

 

The GE Intelligent Platforms/GE Fanuc ST-3428 analog input module supports the common bus systems like the Profibus DP/V1, CANopen, CC-Link, Modbus-RS232, Modbus-RS-485, and Modbus-TCP systems. Other notable specifications of this module include compact dimensions of approximately 12 x 99 x 70 millimeters. The ST-3428 analog input module weighs about 70 grams. It comes with 1 green/red system indicator showing the operating state of the module. This module also features the 16 bits integer data format, with an input impedance rating of 500 kilo-ohms. It also has 4 milliseconds of conversion time for all the channels and it does not require calibration. Additionally, the ST-3428 analog input module has no diagnostics features. It has a maximum power dissipation rating of 80 milliamps at 5 Volts DC.
