Technical Information

The ST-3218 module is an analog input module manufactured by GE Fanuc-Emerson, and it has an input current rating of 4 to 20 milliamps and an input resolution of 12 bits. It features 8 channels that are single-ended inputs and the 16-bit integer data format. Other specifications of the module include one green/red module state system indicator. It weighs approximately 70 grams and has dimensions of 12 x 99 x 70 millimeters. The ST-3218 analog input module is a modular remote input system that is manufactured by the GE Intelligent Platforms division of GE Fanuc. This system comes with several analog, digital, and special modules. Along with the selected bus/node module, this system can be integrated easily to make individual I/O nodes. It features an IP 20 rated enclosure, and it can be installed on a 35-millimeter standard DIN rail.

 

The ST-3218 analog input module provides stable communication through a unique sliding contact system. A standard input/output module like this one measures 12 millimeters in width, and when it is used with the 16-channel input/output modules, there is a complete node consisting of 64 inputs and outputs that measures 90 millimeters in width. Some of the communication channels supported by these bus systems are the RS-232, RS-485, TCP, and CANopen communication channels. The ST-3218 RSTi analog input module and other similar products include a simple push spring clamp terminal, and they don’t need any special tools for wiring. This module also features a removable terminal block to enhance maintenance and installation and it comes with an RSTi network interface that supports a maximum of 32 slice input and output modules.
