Technical Information

The ST-3214 module is an RSTi analog input module manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms. It has 4 to 20 milliamps of rated input current and an input resolution of 12 bits. This module has 4 single-ended input channels, 4 red/green system state indicators, and 1 red/green module state indicator. The ST-3214 analog input module features the 16-bit integer data format and it weighs approximately 70 grams with dimensions of 12 x 99 x 70 millimeters. Some of this RSTi module's notable features include the PROFINET network interface which is integrated tightly into the Proficy Machine Edition software, a simple push spring clamp terminal, and a unique module locking mechanism that is used to secure the module on the DIN rail. The ST-3214 analog input module also has an integrated slide and locking design that securely holds the module in place.

 

The ST-3214 RSTi analog input module's other features include advanced diagnostics and a 4-point low density input setup that can be increased to a 16-point high density input setup in a width of 12 millimeters or 0.47 inches. It also has an RSTi network interface that supports up to 32 slice input and output modules. The ST-3214 analog input module has built-in test points on the terminal block that enhance easy troubleshooting. The ST-3214 RSTi analog input module's innovative design enables communication data, field power, and module power to be passed from one module to another in a system. There are power boosters, power distribution devices, and field power isolation devices available as dump modules that require no slot address.
