Technical Information

The Beijer Electronics ST-2524 module is an expansion module with diagnostic input current ratings of 2 Amps. It has 4 digital outputs that are positive logic outputs running on 12/24 Volts DC. The device operates best in a temperature range between -20 and 55 degrees Celsius, and it can be stored at a temperature range of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius and at a non-condensing relative humidity level of 5 to 90 percent. The ST-2524 expansion module is fully equipped with output protection features that are meant to counter any short circuits that may harm the device or the users. Because it is an I/O module it has a robust transistor positive logic output type with a nominal output voltage rating of 25 Volts DC and an output voltage range of 11 to 28.8 Volts DC. When the temperature is at 25 degrees Celsius, a small level of resistance is generated by the emitter's resistance to the collector diode. The on-state voltage drop is calibrated 1 Volt DC.

 

The Beijer Electronics ST-2524 expansion module features a removable terminal block and a cage clamp since it is an I/O enabled expansion unit. This module can be mounted by using a DIN rail that is 35 millimeters in length, and the dimensions of the module are 12 millimeters by 99 millimeters by 70 millimeters in length, width, and breadth, respectively. The ST-2524 expansion module is designed with 2 sets of LED indicators that are the output state and Bus state indicators. The Bus state indicator is a single red/green LED that shows the status of the Bus. In contrast, the output indicators are 4 green lights that give the users updates about the status of the 4 outputs. The output delay time is 0.3 milliseconds for both on to off and off to on.
