Technical Information

The ST-2424 expansion module is a diagnostic input expansion module featuring 4 digital outputs. Beijer Electronics manufactures the modules and it is a positive logic PNP module that can run on 0.5 Amps of current at 12/24 Volts DC. It weighs 70 grams and it measures 0.47 inches by 3.9 inches by 2.8 inches in dimensions. The ST-2424 expansion module is mountable on a 35-millimeter DIN rail that meets the regular operating standards in global industrial requirements. The expansion module has a system of indicators which are 1 red/green Bus status indicator for showing the general performance of the machine and 4 green output indicators for showing the status of the outputs. This system of indicators is useful since it highlights any discrepancies or malfunctions in the module.

 

The ST-2424 module can connect input and output devices to a PC with its RTB or removable terminal block and its cage clamp input/output connector type. The device has a current consumption rating of 45 milliamps at 5 Volts DC. The outputs are TTL outputs that are built with a bipolar family junction transistor and which can perform a logic function simultaneously to amplify the second transistor output type. When providing shallow output currents, the output voltage ranges from 11 to 28.8 Volts DC at 24 Volts DC nominal. The ST-2424 expansion module is an efficient machine with only 50 uA of off-state leakage current. The voltage generated by the resistance when the current flows from the emitter to the collector electrode is minimal and rated at 3 Volts DC at 25 degrees Celsius.
