Technical Information

The ST-2414 module is a 4-output digital output expansion module featuring 12/24 Volts DC rated voltage when the current rating is 0.5 Amps. It also has diagnostics features that monitor the control points in the system to enable the users to view the commands that are sent and received from a controller even if they are highly encoded. It is an I/O module with a removable terminal block, a cage clamp, and mechanical dimensions of 12 x 99 x 70 millimeters. The weight of the ST-2414 module at shipping is 70 grams. It can be mounted by using a 35-millimeter DIN rail as the standard mounting option but it can also be mounted with customized DIN rails that are different lengths to accommodate additional devices if necessary. The LED system indicators on the module are the Redmond bus status indicator that can be green or red, and 4 green output status indicators.

 

The current and power requirements of the ST-2414 output expansion module are only 45 milliamps and 5 Volts DC for normal operation. It has a storage temperature range between -40 degrees Celsius and 85 degrees Celsius and it operates best in a temperature range between -20 degrees Celsius and 55 degrees Celsius. The non-condensing humidity level in the module’s environment should be from 5 to 90 percent. The ST-2414 output expansion module is fully protected with output short-circuit protection to ensure both user and equipment safety. The output delay time is 0.3 milliseconds on to off and 0.3 milliseconds off to on, and the output voltage range is 11 to 28.8 Volts DC. The module uses its cage clamp as its I/O connector type.
