Technical Information

The ST-2314 expansion module is an 8-channel digital module expansion unit. The device features 4 I/O points and negative logic. The input power rating for the device is 24 Volts DC at 0.5 Amps of current. This expansion module is manufactured by GE Fanuc and it is characterized by its high level of performance and flexibility in Ethernet connectivity and I/O performance. It is easily upgraded, and its configuration process is pretty straightforward. The ST-2314 digital expansion module's current consumption rating is 45 milliamps when the voltage is at 5 Volts DC and 11 to 28.8 Volts DC for field output loads. This module is designed for industrial use only. It is recommended to turn off the power cable when using the module in highly hazardous conditions and to replace worn out components that may impair machine operation.

 

Additionally, the ST-2314 expansion module is mountable in an enclosure that is certified for use in Zone 2 rated industrial environments with a minimum protection rating of IP 54 and the atmosphere should contain only moderate levels of hydrogen or acetylene or other vapors of equivalent hazard levels. The terminal input has a transient protection level rated at 140 percent, while the ambient operating temperature range is between 0 degrees Celsius and 50 degrees Celsius. The ST-2314 expansion module is categorized as a piece of open-type equipment that should be installed in an enclosure for protection according to the IEC60664-1 standards. Additionally, there is no provision for serviceable parts in this expansion module. This product features an LED indicator to demonstrate its operating status with an input impedance of 5.4 kilohms and an input delay signal of less than 0.5 microseconds. This expansion module measures 83 x 99 x 70 millimeters.
