Technical Information

The ST-1314 module is a discrete input module that has been designed by GE Fanuc and included in the PACSystems series. This module comes with positive logic and 4 input points that provide connections to different input equipment. Ensure that both input devices are compatible to ensure proper operation. The physical parts of the module include status LEDs, color-coded module identification tabs, and a spring clamp connection device. It also has an easy-to-remove terminal block that provides protection when the connection is not being used. The GE Fanuc ST-1314 discrete input module can be used in a whole RSTi system that enables the combination of different features such as a module power, communications modules, and field power through a single device. It is recommended to provide the power that is required to operate the module from a different source than the field bus power source.

 

The GE Fanuc ST-1314 discrete input module can be installed in an environment with a surrounding air temperature of -20 degrees to 50 degrees Celsius and an ambient non-condensing relative humidity range of 5 to 90 percent. The surrounding atmosphere must not contain any excessive levels of dust or any corrosive gases. The GE Fanuc ST-1314 discrete input module provides isolation that goes from the system power to the module, it does not provide isolation between the power and the internal logic. This discrete input module operates with positive logic and a voltage level of 48 Volts DC. Only input devices can be attached to this module and these input devices must be compatible with both the module and the main PLC or the system will be unable to operate.
