The ST-1114 from Crevis is a digital input module. It is the Sink Type or Positive Logic type and has 4 channels. When connected to field device such as a sensor, the module receives the control signal at a nominal power supply of 5V DC. Although the module has 5 LEDs, only one is to indicate the status of the network. The rest of the LEDs indicate the status of the field devices. The ST-1114 is isolated electronically between the Field I/O and FnBus. This is done by using a photocoupler. The wiring for the digital input module can be connected using a sensor. Either a 2-wire or 3-wire sensor is adaptable to the unit.
