Technical Information

GE Fanuc manufactures the IC755ACCBATTNL battery pack as a replacement battery pack, which is compatible with the 15-inch, 12-inch, and 10-inch QuickPanel Plus terminals. All of these Quickpanel series terminals come with SRAM with a capacity of 512 KB that is used to store important data. The IC755ACCBATTNL battery pack can be used to replace the original battery in a terminal after it wears out as a result of the constant charging and discharging during machine operation that causes it to undergo degradation. Note that the batteries on the 15-inch,10-inch, and 12-inch QuickPanel Plus terminals should only be replaced with the batteries from the IC755ACCBATTNL pack. As a standard procedure, the 7 screws around the battery case on the terminal need to be removed before the battery can be replaced. The tab that the screws hold down can be removed by pressing gently on both sides of it to remove the back cover.

 

After the procedure of removing the screws and the back cover of the battery case is complete, the old battery can be removed and the new battery from the IC755ACCBATTNL pack can be installed. Keep in mind that the polarity of the battery requires it to be installed correctly, and once this has been done, the back cover and the screws can be put back into place. The batteries in this kit are lithium batteries. The battery anode in lithium batteries is potentially very high in electrochemical power and they are best suited for use as dry cells and data storage batteries. However, it is not recommended to use lithium batteries in hazardous environments where explosive or flammable gas are common in normal operating conditions, or in environments that contain significant volumes of combustible liquids or chemicals.
