Quickpanel Battery Replacement Kit ACCBATT

Technical Information

The IC755ACCBATT battery replacement kit is a GE Fanuc QuickPanel battery replacement kit for the 7-inch QuickPanel Plus terminals. This kit is intended to provide the backup power to the QuickPanel Plus terminal’s SRAM and protect the saved data when there is a power failure. The old battery that should not be thrown away or disposed of by burning, and only the batteries that are specially made for the QuickPanel Plus series such as the batteries in the IC755ACCBATT battery replacement kit should be used. These lithium batteries should only be disposed of according to the federal and state laws and regulations. It is recommended that only trained technicians perform the battery replacement for the QuickPanel Plus terminals. Also, the power to these units must be turned off before the battery is replaced. It is essential to replace the old battery with one from the IC755ACCBATT kit that has the correct polarity. Metallic tools, including screwdrivers, are not recommended for use when removing or installing the battery.

 

The only batteries that can be safely used to replace the Quickpanel Plus products’ batteries are the batteries that are included in the GE Fanuc QuickPanel IC755ACCBATT battery replacement kit. When replacing a battery, start by removing the battery cover by pressing downwards on it while simultaneously sliding it forward. There is a battery harness connector that should be connected to the header of the battery, and it should be verified that the negative side is up while the positive side is down. This harness connector is supposed to be wrapped around the battery as shown in the diagram in the manual. Also, the connector should not be allowed to go over the tab on either the old battery or the new battery.
