Product Description


The IC754VSL06MTD is a mono-loaded QuickPanel display and control PC produced by GE Automation. This device is designed to function as both a single unit and a networked component in various industrial environments. This display panel computer runs the 32-bit Windows CE.NET operating system and uses an XScale PXA255 processor from Intel. Processor clock speed is 300MHz.

 

Select features of the Windows CE.NET operating system include the ability to save configuration settings, browse the web with the Pocket Internet Explorer, perform data correction and drive formatting on volumes with the Storage Manager, and transfer files with the HTTP File Transfer Utility (HTFU) or FTP server. This product also supports the Proficy Machine Edition software and the Emulate PPC utility. Basic files such as PDF files, Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets are also supported via the Microsoft File Viewer. Note: Microsoft File Viewer has certain limitations when opening files.

 

The IC754VSL06MTD is controlled by a 5.75-inch (14.6 centimeter) resistive touchscreen. For optimal performance, a stylus pointing device is provided but is not required for use. For additional control, an external USB keyboard may also be used. Up to 256 shades of gray are supported by this display, along with a resolution of 320 x 240. Overall, this product is 4.86 inches (126mm) tall, 6.14 inches (158mm) wide, and 2.76 inches (70mm) deep, and the weight is 2.5 pounds (1.16kg).

 

This panel has four types of memory: 32 megabytes of non-volatile flash memory, 32 megabytes of dynamic memory, 512 kilobytes of static memory, and 512 kilobytes of read-only memory. User memory and the operating system are both shared by flash and dynamic memory. Static memory is sustained by a lithium battery. Read-only memory (ROM) houses the boot loader program. Dynamic memory can be expanded via a memory expansion bus.

 

For communications and external storage, the IC754VSL06MTD has two RS232 and RS485 serial ports, one 10BaseT/100BaseTx Ethernet port, one type two compact flash card port, and two version 1.1 USB ports.
