The IC754VGI06MTD is a view and control display panel microcomputer designed by General Electric. This device is capable of connecting to and controlling a variety of industrial equipment. A 32-bit version of Windows CE.NET and a 300MHz Intel processor power this lightweight computer. This product has a touchscreen display capable of 65,536 colors and 256 shades of gray. The touchscreen measures 5.75 inches (14.6cm) and has 320 x 240 resolution.

 

This device uses four embedded Dual Inline Package (DIP) switches for various configuration and factory settings. Note: DIP switches one, three, and four perform crucial functions and should not be adjusted.

 

Memory for this device includes 32 MB of flash memory and DRAM, as well as 512 KB of SRAM and Boot ROM. Storage of the Windows operating system, user programs, and applications is split between certain memory systems. A 100-pin Dual Inline Memory Module expansion bus allows more DRAM to be added to this device with a potential capacity of 96 MB in total. For additional storage, flash memory cards and USB devices are also supported.

 

The IC754VGI06MTD is equipped with two Ethernet and serial ports for network connection and device communication. Connecting to a network can be accomplished via Ethernet or dial up. Note: An Internet connection requires an IP address from a service provider. An integrated web browser called Pocket Internet Explorer allows this device to load web pages. This browser can also access the Internet via a proxy server. Additional software capabilities include the Emulate PPC program, which allows this device to perform like a Pocket PC 2003, and the ability to transfer files via HFTU and FTP.


The IC754VGI06MTD is 4.852 inches (123.2 millimeters) tall, 6.14 inches (156 mm) wide, and 2.76 inches (70 mm) deep. This device weighs 2.5 pounds (1.16 kilograms). Barring a few configuration steps such as setting the input device, network connection, and expansion ports, this product is ready to use upon delivery.
