Product Description


The IC754VBI12MTD is a View/Display QuickPanel from GE Automation. It is a small industrial control computer designed for versatility. This product runs the Windows CE operating system and is controlled primarily by a touch screen and stylus. The 12-inch touch screen display has a resolution of 800 X 600 pixels with 16 bits per pixel of color and a monochrome model of 256 shades of gray. Bi-color and tri-color LED display lights indicate device status.

 

The physical dimensions of this display panel are as follows: Width is 13.26 inches, or 337 millimeters. Height is 10.34 inches, or 263 millimeters. Depth is 0.38 inches, or 10 millimeters. Weight is 5.2 pounds, or 2.36 kilograms.

 

Primary memory for this product is 32 megabytes of DRAM, though it also has 32 megabytes of flash memory, 512 kilobytes of SRAM, and 512 kilobytes of ROM. A portion of Windows CE is stored in DRAM and flash memory. Note: DRAM can be increased up to 96 megabytes via a memory expansion bus. Flash memory functions as a virtual hard drive. Boot instructions are housed in ROM. SRAM is sustained by a Panasonic BR2032 lithium battery.

 

The IC754VBI12MTD has a compact flash card memory port, as well as one Field Bus slot. This product has one 10BaseT/100BaseTX Ethernet port, which uses RJ-45 connectors, supports auto negotiation, and is capable of full and half duplex modes. The IC754VBI12MTD also has one RS323/485 serial port.

 

Once properly configured and connected to the local network, this device can connect to web pages via a compact web browser, transfer files via an FTP server and the HTTP File Transfer utility, and copy Proficy Machine Edition projects to other compatible display panel computers via compact flash memory cards.
