The ES1221R terminal is an all-in-one operator interface terminal that is used to provide full application visualization for a wide range of industrial control and communication applications, whether they are distributed or local. It is a product of GE Fanuc Automation and a member of the QuickPanel line of products. It provides flexibility in application control processes by integrating the I/O communication and control view processes into a single program to achieve real-time management of machine productivity and performance. This unit requires a power rating of 48 Watts, with an operating current of 2 Amps and 24 Volts DC input voltage. Other aspects of the GE Fanuc ES1221R operator interface terminal include 600 x 800 pixels of screen resolution, a sensitive analog touchscreen that is 12 inches wide with a TFT LCD surface that can be controlled by users wearing the kind of gloves that are commonly used in factories. 

 

The GE Fanuc ES1221R operator interface terminal features a cold backlight cathode with up to 50,000 hours of half-life, and a brightness rating of 500 Nits. With a built-in 64 MB and 400 Megahertz rated XScale PXA255 Intel processor, the device can store and process operating data, and it also has non-volatile memory for application storage and the Windows operating system. Additionally, the ES1221R operator interface terminal has approximate dimensions of 8.9 x 11.85 x 2.37 inches and 512 KB of memory with battery back-up for supporting data storage in case of a power failure. A memory expansion for up to 128 KB can be added should extra space be needed, and the memory expansion unit can be situated in the built-in memory slot. The device is USB enabled with 2 ports, one slot for the Field bus, and an RJ-45 Ethernet cable that allows for serial communication. There is an LED that helps to monitor the operating status of this device.
