Technical Information

The ES1221 terminal is manufactured by GE Fanuc in the QuickPanel View terminal series. It comes with a screen that has color graphics and that is 12 inches in diameter. The ES1221 terminal is well suited to serve as a human-machine interface or HMI for all kinds of industrial machines in all kinds of industrial applications. It comes with generous amounts of different kinds of memory for storing different programs and data. There is 32 MB of DRAM that is split up for operating system memory, application storage, and object storage. The Flash memory also features a 32-MB section that can operate as a virtual hard drive and that is also divided into the operating system memory and the persistent storage for the application programs. The ES1221 terminal also has 512 KB of SRAM that can store data even during a power failure.

 

The GE Fanuc ES1221 terminal is easy to set up soon after it arrives. It needs to be connected to a DC power supply with the quick-connect plug that it comes with, and then it is ready to start up for the first time. Additional hardware setup is not necessary at this time, but the users may choose to connect and configure any of the optional communication ports, input devices, and expansion adapters that the terminal will be working with in the applications that it is intended for when it first arrives. The ES1221 terminal uses the Windows CE operating system and it is controlled by a touchscreen.
