The ES0821 panel is a QuickPanel control panel made by GE Fanuc Automation. This panel is part of the GE Fanuc QuickPanel series of industrial control panels, and it is uniquely designed to meet all the users’ needs. The unit is used as either a full-featured control panel or a control panel connected to an HMI for both distributed and local control applications. The ES0821 panel uses the Proficy Machine Edition Software and it is perfect for any networking environment. It is useful because it can be utilized as a standard alone panel. It features the RS-485 and RS-232 communication ports that use the HMI-CAB-CS15 communication cable. This control board ships ready to be used with its plug and play functionality. Only a few setup steps and minimal configuration is needed to use the panel for the first time.
The ES0821 control panel features an input power rating of 24 Volts DC, it weighs 14 x 12 x 10 inches, and it weighs approximately 10 pounds. The unit is connected to the power source by using the quick-connect plug cable only. The ES0821 control panel supports additional adapters like communication ports and input expansion devices for different applications. For safety, ensure that the power cable for DC power is completely removed to avoid electric shock when installing or servicing the panel. Ensure that the leads are discharged and not energized before connecting the panel to the power plug. On startup, the unit displays the operating system version that it uses plus several other important details about the device. Before switching off this unit, the operators must ensure that any running program has ended and save any changes to avoid losing them.
