Technical Information

The ES0624 terminal is a 6-inch color display terminal with a touchscreen. It is a product manufactured by GE Fanuc that is classified by the manufacturer as a member of the QuickPanel series. Unique features on this terminal include FTP server support characterized by the RFC 959 feature and the unequivocal FTP server which allows for non-secure operation. The username feature, anti-packet sniffing FTP feature, password protection feature, and the end user data transmission feature without encryption are also available. The GE Fanuc ES0624 display terminal has an integrated flat-screen with color graphics that is coupled with a 12-bit resistive touch panel that, when configured accurately, has 12-bit resolution that can translate to sensitive touch cells on the surface of the screen.

 

The GE Fanuc ES0624 display terminal supports the HMI-CAB-CS13 communication cable at an input power rating of 24 Volts DC. Its dimensions are 357 x 305 x 254 millimeters and it weighs about 5 pounds. It uses the Proficy Machine Edition software that runs on the Windows CE operating system. The touchscreen uses HTTP file transfer to allow the users to access or transfer files to or from any device connected to it because this transfer program is a simple command-line program that works through the internet. The HTTP file transfer employs a command-line prompt from the batch file or a prewritten script application. The ES0624 display terminal emulates the PPC utility, enabling a personal computer to run simulations during ActiveSync. The panel supports serial communication via the RS-232 and RS-485 ports and the HMI-CAB-CS13 cable. The 2 serial communications ports are useful for reading and writing the program registry, and for starting and stopping drivers in a user-selectable parameter. The terminal comes with 2 USB ports with preinstalled drivers.
