Technical Information

GE Fanuc manufactures the ES0623 terminal as a QuickPanel series 6-inch display terminal with a touchscreen and with an input power rating of 24 Volts DC. It features an RS-232 and an RS-485 communication port. It comes with an HMI-CAB-CS512 communication protocol cable that is useful for serial communication with pieces of electronic equipment in industrial settings by providing a wireless transmission of data in a single path. The ES0623 terminal features the Proficy View Machine Edition software that runs on the Windows CE operating system. This display terminal has dimensions of 14 x 12 x 10 inches and it weighs 5 pounds. It supports universal serial ports. This unit's end-users can utilize the external mouse connection option for easy data entry. It ships ready for use with preinstalled USB mouse drives and very little setup is needed.

 

Additional features of the ES0623 terminal include 2 data serial communications ports known as COM1 and COM2 for the bilateral channeling of the data to create all-purpose connections that meet the EIA485 and EIA232C electrical standards. The users of the ES0623 display terminal can access this type of connection by linking it to a modem or dial-up remote control network connection to establish a PSTN over ISP when the cables are in a low-population area where the operators may not need cabling. The COM2 and COM1 ports are located below the enclosure of the unit to provide an excellent signal. The flash memory is located at the unit's side to enhance data transfer between the PC and the terminal while the slot for inserting the memory is front-facing.
