Technical Information

The ES0601 terminal is a GE Fanuc display terminal that is manufactured as part of the QuickPanel View product series. It comes with a monochrome display that is 6 inches wide and that runs on 24 Volts DC input power. This module also features a touchscreen for input and it has RS-485 and RS-232 communication options. Other features include a communication cable (the HMI-CAB-CS4 cable) and support for the Proficy View Machine Edition Software. This display unit weighs approximately 5 pounds, and it measures about 14 x 12 x 10 inches. In addition to the touch input screen, the GE Fanuc ES0601 operator interface terminal comes with various communication ports and an expansion bus, which allows for great flexibility during operation. Additionally, this display module has an opening on the back that is intended to enable the users to add the expansion bus connector, memory expansion connector, change the battery, and access DIP switches.

 

The ES0601 display terminal by GE Fanuc serves as a link between the factory floors and control systems that are located elsewhere. The module is designed to offer all the necessary data and info required to operate industrial machines. Additionally, this module helps to ensure that there is proper integration in the manufacturing and operation process. The GE Fanuc ES0601 display terminal is an exceptional operator interface terminal with various communication options. The RS-232 communication option is compatible and usable with most modern computers. This terminal is designed and intended for connecting the DC data communication device and DTE data terminal with 20 KB per second of optimal speed and 50 feet of maximum cable length. Conversely, the RS-485 communication option is flexible and useful for connecting different DTEs within a network structure, allowing for quick communication over a long distance.
