Product Description

IC660BPM500 is a 4 lb. Genius I/O Handheld Monitor Battery Pack for use with handheld monitor (HHM) model IC660HHM501. A battery pack should always be installed to operate the HHM, even if AC power is being used. IC660BPM500 provides up to six hours of operation when fully charged. To maximize lifespan, the battery should be allowed to discharge fully between charges and/or at least once a month. If battery power is too low, a “LOW BATTERY, HHM HALTED, Please recharge” message may appear. The display may also simply remain blank, or two lines may briefly appear. Current operation could be suspended if power is too low.

Upon delivery, the battery pack will not be charged. Before powering a HHM for the first time, the batter pack will need to charge via the adapter for 24 hours. Subsequent recharging time is only 16 hours. It is recommended to have a spare battery pack, so the user can alternate packs while charging. If a batter pack will not charge, it is likely a faulty pack, not the HHM.

When utilizing AC power to operate the HHM, the battery pack must charge for at least 20 minutes (if it is new or fully discharged). Temporary operation may be necessary before charging is complete and will require the user to plug the adapter cable into the HHM, wait 15 seconds, and then power up the HHM. The battery pack might also require removal and reinstallation for proper performance.  The IC660BPM500 battery pack may begin to deteriorate if the user continually uses the HHM in AC mode for extended periods. After two years of AC operation, the battery pack may resist charge resulting in the inability to work independently.
